The first Evidenza was created in 1911, and its stylish look makes it a great dress watch for any occasion. The Longines Evidenza watch has a stainless steel case and brown alligator skin straps with white stitches.
It has both the center hour and date function and additional chronograph features. Longines Evidenza watches also come with enhanced complications. The timepiece uses a self-winding movement with a 42-hour power reserve. It also has a clock that spans up to 12 hours.
According to Time Ticking youtube channel, The Longines evidenza was given to Rudolph Valentino, and he immediately fell in love with it. Inspired by the "tonneau" art deco style, in 1920, it became Rudolph Valentino's Favorite timepiece. (*Valentino loved it so much that occasionally he forgot to take it off while filming).
The Longines Evidenza can be spotted worn by Humphrey Bogart in the movie that debuted him, Casablanca (1942). Longines' tonneau-shaped watches have been receiving a lot of attention from tasteful groups around the world, who are growing to prefer them over other styles.
The Tonneau-shaped watch was first launched in 1941, scooping the attention of American actor Humphrey Bogart. He both wore it in his daily life and used it to play Rick Blaine, the character he is well-known for portraying in the 1940s epic "Casablanca".
